Nutritious food - a important part of Behavioural Nutrition

Emotional Eating: Let’s Break Free from This Habit

Today, I want to talk about a topic that’s close to my heart – emotional eating. There’s a saying: “Eat with emotion – it’s great and I recommend it.” But there’s another kind of eating, one that I don’t recommend at all – emotional eating. It’s when we turn to food when we’re sad, tired, stressed, and sometimes even when we’re happy.

If you’ve been using food to cope with your emotions, I invite you to work on changing that habit.

My background in behavioral nutrition and nutritional therapy has equipped me to help you break free from this cycle. Schedule a consultation with me today, and let’s put an end to this harmful pattern.

Understanding Emotional Eating

Emotional eating is a complex issue that many of us struggle with. It’s not just about what we eat but why we eat. When we eat emotionally, we’re not nourishing our bodies; instead, we’re using food as a way to mask or manage our feelings.

Why Is Emotional Eating a Problem?

Emotional eating can lead to a range of issues, including weight gain, poor nutrition, and a negative relationship with food. It’s a temporary fix that doesn’t address the root causes of our emotions.

How Can I Help?

As a certified nutritionist with a background in behavioral nutrition and therapy, I can provide you with the tools and support you need to overcome emotional eating. We’ll work together to develop healthier coping mechanisms and a more positive relationship with food.
